Mukilteo

Located approximately 25 miles north of Seattle, sits the bedroom community of Mukilteo, with a small job base centered around manufacturing industries. It is also a major transportation hub, with connections to Whidbey Island via ferry, to Seattle via commuter trains and public transit to nearby cities. The city is recognized for its quality of life and is one of the most affluent in Washington state, with a high median income.

Apart from Old Town, the city is divided into several large neighborhoods. Among those are Chennault Beach, Harbour Pointe and Olympus Terrace. Mukilteo is a city of over 21,000 residents, with award winning schools and a friendly, welcoming charm reminiscent of small communities of another era. It’s a community of volunteers who work in the Community Garden growing fresh vegetables for the food bank, play in the Community Orchestra, organize an annual Egg Hunt for area children, and throw the biggest party of the year, the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival, that is visited over three days by tens of thousands in Lighthouse Park on Puget Sound. The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival features a parade, fireworks, a fishing derby, and fun runs.

Mukilteo has a lot to offer with beautiful beaches, boat launch, bike riding and hiking trails, including Japanese Gulch, and great restaurants with tasty seafood. It is a wonderful place to live, work and play!
