Woodway

Stretching about a mile along Puget Sound between Richmond Beach and Edmonds, lies the residential community in the wooded country setting of Woodway. Although elevated to “city” status in 1986, it continues to be known as the “Town of Woodway”. The Town was formed to protect its original concept of rural family living, based on respect to nature and a belief in a quite existence on densely wooded lots. The vision strives to achieve a balance between the well-being of the people who live in Woodway and the need to serve them with street, utilities, and security. Woodway’s purpose has changed very little…the Town is true to its motto as “THE QUIET PLACE.”

Woodway is a walking community with several nature trails and parks to enjoy. The city includes areas north and south of the original Woodway Park which primarily offers 1/3-acre lots and 1-acre lots, in addition to the 2-acre lots in the park where the original secluded, wooded environment remains. Woodway is almost entirely zoned for single-family residential homes, which are among the most expensive in Snohomish County.
